Engage Example - Image analysis for WW1 War Experiences

This overview video describes an example of how to Engage your students online. Using an organizer on a live Google Drawing, students collaboratively note down their questions and responses, connect historical events to prior knowledge, share the impressions they have with the class, etc.


Explore Example - Using videos and Pictures for Irish and French Migrations

Student examine pictures and videos, as ways to "Explore" the Irish and French Migration experiences and realities of people who moved to and from the Canadas in the 1800s. Students work in a collaborative online environment using Google Slides. 


Investigate Example - Using timelines and maps for First Settlements

This overview video describes an example of the Investigate Phase. Students "Establish Facts" related to various first settlements (Port Royal, Tadoussac, Quebec) and "Situate them in Space and Time" using online collaborative tools like Google Draw/Slides and Cartograf.
