Holistic Approaches to Student Success

Community schools recognize that the success of students requires a holistic strategy that addresses the physical, intellectual and socio-emotional aspects of young people.

Teachers play a key role in fostering a school culture that integrates partner programs and expertise to attain student achievement, engagement and wellness goals.

In addition, teachers drive community service learning (CSL) and project-based learning (PBL) in the CLC school that benefit from connections to local and provincial partners and community assets, empowering students to address authentic community needs and get hands-on, experiencing what it means to be an active citizen.
